Pajama Sam 2: Thunder and Lightning Aren't so Frightening is a 1998 children's point-and-click adventure game originally released for Windows and Macintosh. On April 3, 2014, this game was ported to Android under the title Pajama Sam: Thunder and Lightning. The second game of the Pajama Samfranchise, it features the title character entering the World Wide Weather through his attic to stop the scary thunder and lightning.

Plot[edit]

During a scary thunderstorm, Pajama Sam journeys through his attic and up into the clouds to a massive weather-manufacturing facility called World Wide Weather. However, he is denied entry by a rude and grumpy crossing gate for not being an employee, and is forced to sneak inside by hiding in a crate. Sam enters the facility's control room, where he meets a surprisingly kind Thunder and Lightning, who explain to Sam how thunderstorms benefit the environment. While turning to leave, Sam trips on his cape and accidentally lands on a red button that causes the machines to malfunction and so is tasked with retrieving several missing important parts, before the CEO and president of WWW, Mother Nature, an onion, finds out. The side objective of this game is to find all of the missing puzzle pieces, which will form an amusing picture when they are all collected.

This game employs multiple scenarios to play. Each of the four weather machine parts can be found in one of two locations which are completely random, although the player can now choose from several combination of scenarios to play with at the options screen.

Easter eggs[edit]

The game has multiple Easter eggs. At any time, players can enter the menu and select the 'fun' button to bring up a board game similar to that of Sorry! or Parcheesi, but players play with tokens modeled after umbrellas, fans, ice cubes, and suntan lotion. Also, there are various objects in almost every room that can be clicked on that will trigger small animations such as a 10-second dance party. Throughout the game, there are puzzle pieces that can be picked up to assemble a Pajama Man puzzle and the pieces change location every time players replay the game. Players can also use the phone in the lobby and dial various single digits to have Sam contact different departments of World Wide Weather. There is also a game on the third floor of the building straight ahead of the main entrance where Sam can look through binoculars or a telescope and spot items hidden in a yard or field.

As with all Humongous Entertainment Junior Adventure titles, this game also contains hidden crossovercameos from the main protagonists of any of the three other Junior Adventure series. Kingdom of spades mac os.

In his first spinoff, Pajama Sam's SockWorks, Pajama Sam dreams up what every kid wants to do – sort socks. Because that's fun, right?

Pajama

No?

Well, too bad, because that's the premise of this game that's very little more than a cut-and-pasted version of the Lost Luggage game from Let's Explore the Airport with Buzzy..though given how addictive that game was, most people really didn't mind.

Unused Subtitles

This game, like pretty much all the other Humongous games, has subtitles that are inaccessible unless you put

Whoops!

Should the game fail to load a level, you will be redirected to this level called 'Bad Level'. It will then warn you that your game might be dirty or scratched. This screen can be easily accessed by typing room 11 in ScummVM's debugger.

Level Viewer

This game does not include an in-house level editor (it would be pointless anyway as the built-in editor has every option there already), but it does allow you to view all of the levels in the game. To access this screen, type room 9 in ScummVM's debugger. One might think this would be redundant because there's an all levels cheat, but this game does not actually include only 100 levels; likely because the game was already half done when it was started, the developers decided to kick it up a notch by including 250 levels total with 100 randomly-selected ones every time. You can cycle through all the levels, though the level names don't erase so they are not visible and just pile up on each other.

It seems like this was somewhat like the in-house editor, as it does allow you to clear and name the levels, but they cannot be edited nor saved. There is also another set of arrows on the right but it is unknown what they do. The 'STOP' button returns you to the menu.

Qpee & elka mac os. Inputting CHEATER-X as your name when you sign in grants the ability to go to any of the 250 levels in the game.

Unused Level

Due to a bug in the level randomization, one of the 250 levels will never be selected to appear in a normal file (and instead, another level has two chances of appearing). The only way to access this level is to use the 'CHEATER-X' name for the file and playing level 69.
